They ravaged him, taunted him, nearly filled him with hate;
Tell me Oh God! Was this meant to be his Fate!
They scourged you at the pillar - he has more than one pole;
His heart is torn to ribbons - the blood drains from his soul.
They are violating every human right that he has;
Then quoting from the Law - To justify their stand!
You said that Justice is only yours Lord
How much longer must he remain on their sword?
Shall he like a Phoenix - rise from the ash;
Or behave like those hurting him - who could never be rash?
What happens to you - when he calls out your name?
Do you turn a blind eye - not do justice to your fame?
Why are you deserting him - when he needs you the most?;
Do something Dear Father - he is hurting and so lost?
To say he is despondent - is an understatement you know;
Do your duty Father - stop those ones who are so low.
What is your excuse Father? "Free will of man";
Will you run? Will you hide? Or will you do what you can?
He is losing faith in you - Son of the Father;
He canâ??t even trust them - the ones he calls "brother".
Give us a miracle for the whole world to see;
He has invoked you enough on bended knee.
You have made us promises - ones you did not keep;
If you want him to trust you - stop his agony thatâ??s so deep.
As he turns away from you - do you see?
How heavily laden - that one that is he.
He does see the footprints - etched deep in the sand;
They are his - not yours - Father, please hold his hand.
And restore his faith - in his God and his Land.
